Fokker E1 "Eindecker" entered service in Germany in 1915. It was the first aircraft equipped with a synchrohised machine gun that could fire through the blades of the propeller. Germany produced 54 of this model, four of which were deployed in Turkey between 1915 and 1917.

The E3 model joined the German air force in September 1915 and these planes also served for the Turkish air force, mainly with the Pascha Regiment (Fliegerabteilung-300) in Palestine where German pilots served. Nine planes of this model were deployed between 1916 and 1917.

In Sommer 1916, when monoplanes started being outclassified in aerial combat, Fokker launched its "Doppeldecker" design. A total of 24 planes of model D1 and 33 planes of model D4 were produced. Eight planes of the D1model were deployed in Turkey in November 1917, but two of them were destroyed in the fire at the Haydarpaşa rail station in Istanbul.

Fokker D7 is widely accepted as the best German fighter plane of the First World War era by the authorities. A total of seven planes were deployed in Turkey in October 1918. However since the armistice was signed soon therafter, they could not be used, and they were sent to Istanbul to be stored instead.
