Deperdussin - Turkey in the First World War

The single seater Deperdussin and the double seater Deperdussin-Dmodels produced by the French firm of the same name are the first models used by the Turkish Air Force. In 1912, the government decided to purchase aircraft due to consistent pressure by the High Command. Since since there was no budgetary allocation, the issue was taken to the Association of National Assistance by Grand Vizier Mahmut Şevket Pasha. With the money raised through donations, three planes of which two were single seaters and the third a double seater were purchased. The Depperdussins were out of service in 1914.
